Keep up with the Inghammars........

Pauline's Blog

We have travelled more than usual so far this year, with a 3 week visit to family in Vancouver in January, enjoying a weeks skiing and some Scottish Country Dancing.
The spring is a beautiful season here in the Highlands with all the wild flowers, such as wild primroses and wood anemones and the trees gradually providing a welcome camouflage of green.  We have already sowed the vegetable seeds and potatoes in our large kitchen garden - without the help of our two young friends Tom and Jack (if you should read this!).  Now we have to hope the frost will not be too severe!

Summer is here - its 22 degrees!  Wonderful.  Now all we need for the garden is some rain - at night!
Well, we've had rain now - and cold.  Mid June and the forecast is at last good - it will be warming up to 20 degrees.

Wonderful early summer weather, which we took with us to Sweden.  Fantastic 3 weeks touring in our campervan with friends, ending with the largest Folk Festival in Sweden in Delsbo, north of Stockholm, where 2 more couples/friends joined us for our Scottish Country Dancing demonstration, in between the folk dancing - which we joined in for 2 dances and loved it.  Beautiful scenery - very reminiscent of home - sunshine, bathing in soft lake water, great company - hard to beat that!  But it is always great to be home and now we are recharged ready for anything - weeds, rain.....

19/07:  Just picked over 15 litres of blackcurrants!  Very hot today.

21 Aug:  Just returned from hot and sunny 2 weeks with family in Vancouver.  Lucky me!  But suffering from jet lag - much worse this end.   If the Vancouver travelling companions from the plane are looking in - hope you are enjoying Skye and we will see you here soon! Give us a call first.

05/09  We have been enjoying some great weather this last week and it looks as if it will continue
for a while.  I love the month of September when we have an Indian summer like this!
